1. 12th Mid Term Math Exam 2022-23 – question paper contains three parts A, B and C.
2. Past A comprises of 16 very short answer type question – 16 Marks
3. Part B contains 4 case studies. Each case study comprises 5 case based questions. An examinee is to attempt any 4 out of 5 MCQs. – 16 Marks
4. Part C contains 17 Questions:
   • Question 21 – 29 of 2 marks
   • Question 30 – 34 of 3 marks
   • Question 35 – 37 of 5 marks

Section A:

Question 1. Let R= {(x, x), (y, y), (z, z) be a elation defined in set A = {x, y, z}. Then state the nature of relation R.

Question 2. If R={(icy),M2y=8}is a relation on N, write the range of R.

Question 3. Let A= {1, 2, 3, 4) and B= {a, b, c}. Find number of one-one functions from A to B.

Question 4. A relation in set R, the set of real numbers is defined as

S = {(a,b) ∈ R x R : 2 – ab is real number}. Is S a universal relation?

Question 5. Show that the function f(x) = |x|, x ∈ R set of real numbers is not one-one, by giving example.
