English Essay on My Aim in Life

Every person on this earth has an aim in life. Some decide on it very early in life, while some are able to decide only later. It is very difficult to choose a goal for life, when one is young. Also, we tend to change our minds as we grow up.

My aim in life is to become a scientist, since at very early age I have been interested in science. I always pester my parents with endless questions on how and why things work. I have a naturally curious mind and always like to know every little detail about things. Perhaps I am influenced by my father who is an engineer.

Science always deals with facts. It has the ability to do both good and evil for mankind. A top scientist can even hold the fate of mankind in his hands. My interest in science arises from my deep desire to do something good for the people of my country. I will always use science only for its benefits and not for its ill-effects.

I know I will have to work very hard to achieve my ambition in life. I may even have to sacrifice many things for my goal. But I am prepared to do that. The biggest reward for me will be the day I can do something to make this world a better place to live in.
