My Town

I live in Bangalore, the Garden City of India. It is one of the most beautiful and greenest cities of our country. It is also very popular both among tourists and people who live there or want to live there.

Bangalore is a well planned city. All the main roads are wide and well paved. They are also lined with beautiful trees. Most of the roads are in a very good condition and it is a pleasure to drive on them. One of the most famous road in Bangalore is the Mahatma Gandhi Road, or M.G. Road as it is popularly known. It is a famous shopping center, and all the tourists visit it at least once during their stay.

There are many other places of tourist interest in Bangalore. The Lal Bagh is a botanical garden spread over several acres. Once inside, it is so quiet and green that it is easy to forget  that one is in the middle of a city. The Vidhan Souda or legislative building is a superb piece of architecture. There are also many temples and gardens dotting the city.

The town of Mysore with its famous Brindavan gardens and Tipu Sultan’s palace is just a short journey from Bangalore. My city is also famous for its farm houses and horse breeding stations.

Many premium educational and research institution like the Indian Institute of Science, the Indian Space  Research Organisation are situated here. Bangalore is known as the several computer and software firms that are concentrated hare.

Thus Bangalore is a town that is well liked by everyone, be they industrialist, tourists, or residents. I am very proud of this green and clean city of mine.
